“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it”-Ronald Reagan
There she goes again, Hillary just cannot help herself from exaggerating what she will do if elected. She promised New Yorker’s 200,00 jobs as Senator and failed; now the promise is 640,000 for New Yorker’s. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
Have you seen this photo? Breitbart has more on the Orlando Rally here. The NY Post wants to know why he was invited…but true to form Hillary and her camp deny his being invited. It is worth reading the editorial.
Yesterday’s (08/07/2016) NY Post editorial aptly described Howard Zemsky’s responses when grilled last week by both democratic and republican legislators as “sad excuses.”
This broke late Friday night...all news that administrations like to bury happens to break after hours and on weekends.
If you like your health care plan you can keep it, the Benghazi attacks were inspired by a YouTube video… and now, the U.S. did NOT pay a $400 million ransom to Iran for the release of U.S. hostages.
It’s the latest lie from the Obama Administration – about something that endangers Americans everywhere.
Not a ransom? Even Obama’s IRS wouldn’t believe a whopper like that.
And now we learn how Iran spent its ransom windfall.
I’ve made this Iran payoff the theme of our new Weekly Poll: How would you describe President Obama’s “not-a-ransom” claim? What do you think will be the most damaging result of this payoff? Do you believe this is the worst lie President Obama has told? (As you know, there’s plenty of competition.)
Vote today – the answers on this topic should be very interesting.
Just as the ransom payment to Iran isn’t really a ransom payment, this payoff to the Clinton Foundation by a group that pushes Sharia Law isn’t really outrageous.
This week we learned specifically how much damage Hillary will do to our economy – “Hillarynomics” will increase the deficit by $2.2 trillion and spend three times the revenues coming in – and by the way, America will be bankrupt.
No wonder Hillary is (accidentally?) saying that she will raise taxes on the middle class.
We can’t afford any more “big ideas” from the left – Obamacare’s failure is proof of that.
Finally, here in New York, our friend John Faso is doing his best to run a principled, responsible campaign in the midst of left-wing extremism.
Jonathan S. Tobin opines on just how deceitful and harmful the Obama Administration was during the Iran Nuclear Agreement talks. This is a must read article due to the long term consequences and the weakened position we will be in if Hillary becomes president. Read the he Daily Signal’s take on the hostage deal and National Review’s, both are straightforward and necessary to fully understand the harm the Obama Administration has created.
Sen. Schumer is out of control with his and Sen. Reid’s demand for the names of donors to 22 national or state think tanks because they may dare to disagree with them on climate change. Sen. Schumer will live in AMERICA and we do not have to agree with what you dictate! New Yorker’s must speak up in November; Chuckie has been in the Senate way too long. While Lord Acton said “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” he also said, “Authority that does not exist for Liberty is not authority but force.” Senators Reid and Schumer are exercising the use of force to admonish those who present strong arguments for the other side. Time for Chuckie to join Harry in retirement.
Thanks to an Empire Center report, we know the FDNY has a generous retirement package. The New York Post editorial board points out the some of theproblems with such a generous package.
Today we have more followup on getting the rest of the story. Who is Khizr Khan? Of course he is a grieving father — the loss of a child leaves a wound so deep that time cannot heal it — but is he also a man with an agenda helping immigrants to buy their way into the United States? Is he using the freedoms granted us in our US Constitution to promote his belief that “to Muslims, the Quran being the very word of God, it is the absolute authority from which springs the very conception of legality and every legal obligation.” Donald J. Trump made a grave error in what he said, but knowing more helps us understand that Mr. Khan’s attack on Mr. Trump was more politically motivated than this grieving father wants you to know. Captain Humayun Khan gave his life in the service of his country and let us not forget his sacrifice…may he rest in peace with all of our gratitude for helping to keep freedom and our way of life strong. Gov. Mike Pence responds.
Just a quick reminder on how important it is to go beyond the headlines. Paul Harvey used to remind us of the “rest of the story” and for your information here is the rest of the story on what Donald Trump said to the parents of hero Captain Humayun Khan. The media and those who want to see Donald Trump destroyed are all to quick to react to partial statements.
Likewise, few will report on the glaring lies Hillary said on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. While Wallace did his best…Hillary was in full spin mode. Listen and watch the cunning use of words as she answers Chris Wallace. “I don’t hold any ill feeling for someone who in that moment may not fully recall everything that was or wasn’t said.” Seriously? Patricia Smith should be grateful you don’t hold any “Ill feeling.” Then ask yourself what it would be like if she became number 45? Remember what FBI Director James Comey said to Congressman Trey Gowdy. Always get the rest of the story and know who you are voting for. You know Hillary’s interview with Chris Wallace was pure fantasy spin when even the fact checker at the Washington Post gives it 4 “Pinocchios.”
Did you miss this over the weekend? I have a question for the Judges that made the ruling…how does one get into your building? Take a plane somewhere? Cash a check? But the most important civic responsibility we have, an ID is not required? Foolish decisions have unfortunately become the norm.
More bad news for taxpayers from the Empire Center on two different items: Pensions and Hospitals.
Hillary says this election is “a moment of reckoning” – I think we can all agree on that – but Charles Krauthammer notes that there’s no substance when it comes to the Clinton campaign. “She seeks the office because, well, it’s the next — the final — step on the ladder,” he states.
Hillary certainly can’t run on her Senate accomplishments (well, accomplishment is more like it) – and the Democrats’ claims that she saved millions of lives doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.
Republican Donald Trump had quite a bit to say during Hillary’s speech, as I’m sure you can imagine. He let loose with a series of blistering tweets that brought a dose of reality to the Democrats’ convention.
One of my favorites was: “No one has worse judgement than Hillary Clinton — corruption and devastation follows her wherever she goes.” There are plenty more – which of Trump’s comments was your favorite? That’s the first question in our new Weekly Poll.
For a sweeping indictment of Hillary Clinton and all the corruption she represents, I urge you to check out the documentary “Clinton Cash,” which you can watch free at Breitbart.com.
As a voters, what do you think is the most important reason to watch a film like “Clinton Cash?” That’s the second question in this week’s poll – I know that Conservative Party friends and supporters stay informed, so I’m interested to see what you have to say.
I think that’s a great inspiration for the third Poll question this week, with a slightly different spin: Just how much worse off is our nation, in your opinion, after seven years of Obama?
News like this is very much not what Hillary and the Democrats want to hear as they fight to replace “Obamanomics” with an exact replica, “Hillarynomics.”
There’s bad news just for liberals, too: As Democrats have no established themselves as “the party of safe socialism,” according to Rich Lowry – but Bernie Sanders’ supporters aren’t buying it, and neither are millennials, it seems.
Tonight is the night Hillary Clinton accepts the manipulated nomination to become the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. According to The Hill, Hillary will cast the election as a “moment of reckoning.” Hillary and her cronies have done their best to reinvent her, yet again, as a dedicated public servant only interested in the well beings of others. Here is a more accurate picture of the woman who was too busy worrying about what the rescuers of our citizens in Benghazi would wear instead of actually rescuing them. Here is what Dr. Sebastian Gorka thinks of Hillary’s foreign policy record.
Ben Shapiro opines on that glass ceiling Hillary shattered. He ends with “She may have made things worse. The last thing America needs is for its first female president to be a felonious harridan concerned with her own power above the priorities of the American people.”
True to form, Barack Obama’s can really whip up a crowd with words that mean nothing to him…unless they are extolling how wonderful he is. Obama missed his true calling…being an actor! Justin Holcomb reviews President Obama’s speech here.
The headline is: Obama and Biden, arguing to stay the course, make a case against Trump…Seriously? Stay the course? The Washington Post is so wrong to encourage … no believe and promote the lies these two put forth which is why I will not link to the article.
The Daily Caller has an exclusive that the IRS is investigation the Clinton Foundation…we want to know why since the Obama Administration likes to sweep everything under the rug to make it go away.
Michael Goodwin sums up last night’s DNC convention with this little tidbit about Hillary “But for one night, she was a saint. Her husband said so.” Most of Goodwin’s column is great, however, I disagree with his statement that the “Democratic Party is not the same party it was a generation ago, and it’s definitely not Bill Clinton’s party anymore.” Bill and Hillary were leftist when they entered the White House. Hillary lobbied for government run health care, Bill’s agenda was forced to change when the Republicans stood strong in 1994. Bill adapted to the changes sought and took credit, but neither ever changed their core beliefs; both are quite comfortable with today’s Democratic Party. Sensible democrats are not, they become conservatives or republicans. Americans are smart and understand how the Clinton’s are chameleons adapting to the current climate to consolidate personal power.
Tammy Bruce gives us her take on the DNC Convention so far. It ends with this “Recently, Hillary said if elected she’d put Bill Clinton in charge of the economy and during Sunday’s “60 Minutes” interview, she said as president she’d be calling Mr. Obama for his advice. In other words, even Hillary doesn’t think she can be president. It’s the one thing we can trust her on.”
Steve Forbes: Voters Want ‘Reagan-esque Optimism’ and Positive Economic Change.
Hillary has bigger problems that reinventing herself as the email scandal is proving. The Daily Signal has more on the newest email problems. The Hill is reporting that “the fixer” is ready to acknowledge that, “Yes, there were maybe some bad things that happened but now let’s move on,” doing what democrats do best: sweep problems under the rug until the press moves on.
Tonight’s DNC Convention is not dedicated to the police officers who do their best to protect our localities so be sure to read Robert Knight’s article on “Don’t Defend Yourselves“.
US Senate candidate Wendy Long and other candidates are making the rounds and bringing their message to citizens. Michael J. Gaynor explains why Donald J. Trump needs Wendy Long to replace Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Mayor de Blasio was a good student…of how to make the most of funny-money games.
