Daily Update

Today’s  NY Post editorial headline states:  Radical left could rise in NY after Democratic socialist’s win, and Stephen Miller has an Op-Ed titled: With Ocasio-Cortez’s rise, Dems now own their loony far-left flank, both are very much on target as to the situation in New York’s political world.  Governor Andrew Cuomo has embraced the far left and astonishingly demeaned the voters who put their hope and faith in a candidate that offers them exactly what they want free everything (and the road Cuomo is on) including a guaranteed federal job.  Remember this “A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.”  Can someone please show these voters a country that prospered for her citizens that has a socialistic government, neither can we.

Daily Update

New York experienced a political earthquake in yesterday’s congressional primaries when Congressman Joe Crowley lost to a young socialist first time candidate.  Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi is doing a “happy dance” while Gov. Andrew Cuomo is asking himself “what just happened, did anyone see this coming?” Politico sees it as the Blue Wave being energized by the far left. Of course, Cynthia Nixon capitalizes on it by indicating her endorsement made it possible.  Jim Geraghty gives us some insight as to who Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is and what she campaigned on.

In another US Supreme Court ruling today, it was a win for pro-life groups that counsel pregnant women to make choices other than abortion, invalidating a California law requiring them to prominently post information on how to obtain a state-funded abortion.

Weekly Wrap-Up

There’s been a lot of noise this week, and it’s covered up the fact that President Trump continues to gain popularity with the American people.

“President Trump can’t get a break from negative press coverage, but somehow his approval rating continues to edge upward,” Investors Business Daily notes. “In fact, it’s now tied with where the ‘extremely popular’ President Obama was at this point in his first term.”

Here’s the first question in our new Weekly Poll: Why do you think President Trump’s approval ratings have continued to increase? I have a few theories – maybe it’s because he actually gets results, or perhaps Americans support President Trump’s efforts to shake up Washington.

The “negative press coverage” this week has centered on the crisis at our borders, which President Trump is stuck with since Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama failed to act.

In fact, much of the disturbing imagery coming of children-in-distress comes from the Obama Era – a fact the media liberals refuse to acknowledge. In fact, they’re actively covering it up, aided and abetted by liberal politicians including Nancy Pelosi (her hypocrisy is on display here) and Cynthia Nixon, who much like her leftist allies seeks to dehumanize hard-working border agents.

Which word do you think BEST describes the media’s coverage of illegal alien families?  That’s the second question in our new Weekly Poll.

This is looking like a battle the media elites are going to lose – Americans have enough common sense to know who’s to blame for this situation. And as Chuck Schumer illustrated this week, Democrats don’t really care about these kids.

One of the most sickening aspects of the media/liberal’s exploitation of the border crisis? The constant comparisons to the Holocaust. If you have to be told that America today is nothing like Nazi Germany, you are most likely beyond hope.

This cheapening of our debate makes the loss this week of the great Charles Krauthammer even more profound. Tributes are pouring in, and for our third and final Weekly Poll question, I have compiled some interesting quotes from Mr. Krauthammer. Let me know which one is your favorite.

And have a great weekend!

Daily Update

Ben Shapiro writes in the Daily Wire:  Here’s All The Proof You Need That Democrats Never Cared About Separation Of Illegal Immigrant Children From Parents.  FoxNews has this report on their website:  Trump immigration order met with shrugs and new demands from Dems: ‘This isn’t over’.

However, the NY Post (and National Review) is reporting that Trump reportedly suspends prosecutions of migrant parents with kids at border until “ICE can accelerate resource capability to allow us to maintain custody.”   The article goes on to say that “the Justice Department said there was no change in policy, adding more confusion to the rapidly developing story.”  Time will tell, but of this I am certain, President Donald J. Trump will put the safety of American citizens first and will continue enforcing immigration law has humanely as possible.  To the Cynthia Nixon’s of the world who stand in Churches calling for the abolition of ICE and believes that New York must become a “real sanctuary state, I say this, the rule of law is what makes America great, and the rule of law says there is a right way to come into anyone’s home:  by invitation, not breaking in.

New York’s Department of Health is finalizing their report on marijuana and unfortunately it appears that the push from the far left to make marijuana a legal substance in New York has won.  Obviously, this is a bad political decision from the Second Floor who have failed to study the ramifications of Colorado’s change in marijuana use.  Making marijuana legal in New York is simply a ploy for votes and disregards the seriousness of adding another drug to the marketplace.  How pathetic is it that one would ignore the fact that marijuana is designated a Schedule I drug by the DEA and allow its use for a few votes?

Weekly Wrap-Up

This week’s release of the FBI Inspector General’s report on the Hillary Clinton email investigation featured bombshell after bombshell – more Clinton lying, actual election meddling, and unbelievable corruption.

All in all, not a great day for the FBI – and don’t let anybody tell you that the report doesn’t find political bias from bad apples at the FBI.

The fix was definitely in for Hillary. Lawmakers are demanding accountability, and even MSNBC admits the report is damaging to the FBI’s credibility (and MSNBC viewers are likely saddened that all of official Washington’s anti-Trump conspiring actually backfired).

The Daily Wire shares 12 things to consider about the new report – what do you think is the biggest takeaway? That’s the first question in our new Weekly Poll.

The report reads like a who’s who list of bad behavior – from Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton to Hillary and Comey and the rogue agents who leaked like sieves and eroded the FBI’s credibility.

Who do you think comes out looking the WORST after the release of the FBI Inspector General’s report? That’s the second question in our new Weekly Poll.

Meanwhile, President Trump continues to get results on the world stage, from taking a tough stand against the world establishment at the G7 to moving the ball forward with North Korea to seeing progress in a united front against Iran.

Also this week, America celebrated Flag Day – here is a look at how this special day came to be.

In celebration of Flag Day, what’s the FIRST thing you think of when you see the red-white-and-blue? That’s the third and final question in our new Weekly Poll.

Daily Update

Governor Cuomo:  can you explain this?  Fifty towns and villages that have lost upward of 6% of their population since you came into office?  Not a record to tout when asking New York’s citizens to give you another term.  You can’t even point to Buffalo (where you have poured millions of tax dollars into) as a success, since USA today listed it as the 34th worst city to live in in the entire nation.   New York needs new leadership; Marc Molinaro will work to restore New York’s economic engine to keep people here and revitalized cities and towns without government giveaways.

The IG report has been released, most of it was leaked already.  You can read the full report here.  It really is disturbing that two top officials of the FBI thought they could stop a person from being elected; it is gratifying to know that they couldn’t.  Here is Guy Benson’s take on the IG report.   The FBI is ordering bias training to prevent future problems.   This appears to be new information:  IG REPORT: FBI AGENTS REGULARLY RECEIVED FREE HANDOUTS FROM JOURNALISTS.  Of course, Dem Senators Pounce on IG Report as Proof There’s No Deep State Conspiracy.
