Statement from New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar on New York State Budget
Brooklyn, NY – “Kathy Hochul’s monstrosity of a budget will ensure that New York remains the highest taxed state in the union. By using one-shot federal revenues to fund growth in state operations, New Yorkers will be perennially on the hook for the Democrat’s exorbitant spending, which will now exceed $220 billion — about the size of Florida’s and Texas’s combined budgets, states with greater populations than New York.
“The Governor also failed to achieve real changes to the ill-advised bail reform laws that have spurred a statewide crime wave. Judges must be able to consider potential criminality at sentencing. Anything less than is worthless window dressing.
“Governor Hochul pretended to be a moderate. This budget proves she is anything but. New Yorkers needed tax relief and got a Titanic budget boondoggle instead. Thankfully it’s an election year.”
DOJ Warns State AGs Not to Block Access to Gender Affirming Care, This, as far as I am concerned is overstepping their (DOJ) authority…if the person is of legal age, ok, however, if the person is under the legal age to sign contracts, get married, buy alcohol or cigarettes, get a tattoo or piercing, or a a myriad of other things, then the parents are the only ones who have a say what their child does to their body; NOT THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. Far too many of our youth are confused about this — the indoctrination begins as a very early age — and any life altering changes made when a person isn’t old enough to truly understand what the long term results will be is the responsibility of their parents.

Statement from New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar
Brooklyn, NY – “The Democratic Party got caught today being undemocratic. Its attempt to rig elections and to shut down political dissent in New York through outrageous gerrymandering was fortunately thwarted in New York State Supreme Court.
“Just a glance at these lines revealed them as ridiculously tainted. Now the Democrats must go back to the drawing board and have new lines ready in less than two weeks. We applaud the court’s decision, and urge them to keep an eye on every pencil line the Democrats draw over the next 11 days. They are not to be trusted.”
Under Gov. Hochul’s “less is more” 8,000 people on parole to be released by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision by the end of this month.
As a New York taxpayer, do you think this $840M bill we have just been handed is a good use of our hard-earned tax dollars? I can’t help but wonder how many police, fire, first-responders could be hired, or a reasonable increase to those who care for our disabled and elderly this $840M could help? (And how much prevailing wages added to the total sum.) Buffalo Bills secure deal for $1.4B stadium thanks to record $850M from taxpayers
You really have no choice about paying NYS taxes, you either pay them or be fined and if you continue to ignore paying them you could be charged with felony tax evasion. We are at the mercy of our elected officials on how our money is spent, which is why it is so very important to know the candidates you are voting for. This is just one example of what your money can/will be used for: Hochul seeks to pay $5 million in legal fees for ex-Cuomo staffers. Remember this when you vote in November.
China Closer to Dominating Southeast Asia. “China has fully militarized at least three of several islands it built in the disputed South China Sea, arming them with anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile systems, laser and jamming equipment, and fighter jets in an increasingly aggressive move that threatens all nations operating nearby… that buildup of weaponization is destabilizing to the region.” — US Admiral John C. Aquilino, Associated Press, March 21, 2022.
The First Amendment reads: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. It does not indicate that the press can censor news to fit its agenda. This needs to be investigated; Americans must demand the truth as to how it impacted voters.
Bail debate scrambles New York state budget talks. “… top lawmakers in the state Senate and Assembly remain publicly opposed to scaling the bail law back. Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins has said a “national Republican campaign of fear” has stoked opposition to the bail law over the last several years, unfairly and inaccurately linking the law to the rise in crime.”
“Sure, there are plenty of budget priorities heading into the final two weeks of negotiations in Albany. But are any of them more personal for Gov. Kathy Hochul than getting a deal for a new stadium for her beloved Buffalo Bills?” Another Buffalo Billion — this time, for the Bills?
Diversity Smokescreen/The notion that a demographically representative college class makes for better education is a pretext for the real proposition: that certain people deserve reparations.
Andrew C. McCarthy notes that Ketanji Brown Jackson is a progressive and progressive judges tend to be light sentencers in his column: Ho-Hum: The Cases Senator Hawley Cites Show Judge Jackson Is an Unremarkable Sentencer in Child-Porn Cases. His column is also a good reminder that our Commander-in-Chief’s second most long-lasting and essential role is the nomination of Supreme Court Justices. Elections have consequences.
Miranda Divine writes in today’s NY Post: White House ignores its Hunter problem. “The refusal of the Times and the rest of the media to cover this story amounted to election interference.”
