Brooklyn, NY — New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar today announced that the Party’s executive committee will be meeting in September to support Andrea Dumas in the upcoming special election for New York’s 115th Assembly seat, covering Clinton, Franklin, and parts of Essex counties.
The seat is currently held by Assemblyman Billy Jones (D), who recently announced that he would be stepping down. Ms. Dumas, a Franklin County legislator and Mayor of the Village of Malone, has been well received by local Conservative Party members and leaders, chairman Kassar noted.
“Through unity of the Republican Party, the Conservative Party and all area elected Republicans, we will retake this seat for the Republican-Conservative cause,” Chairman Kassar said. “Andrea Dumas understands what too many in Albany have forgotten — conservative values and conservative policies are proven by time to be successful – it’s the reason we espouse them,” Mr. Kassar said. “Ms. Dumas is committed to common-sense policies that keep communities safe, lower taxes, strengthen families, keep borders secure, and safeguard our state and federal Constitutions.”
