I’m excited to invite you to join me and the Party at the New York State Conservative Party’s 2026 Summer Dinner on Thursday evening, May 21, at The Union League Club in New York City.
This is always one of the most important and energizing events of the year, bringing together leaders and supporters from across the state. This year is especially meaningful as we honor our very own Lee Zeldin as the recipient of the 4th Annual Michael R. Long Award. Mike Long’s legacy of principled conservative leadership continues to inspire, and there is no one more fitting to receive this honor than Lee. Just check out his recent masterclass against the Democrats bias here.
We’ll also be celebrating and supporting our statewide ticket, including Bruce Blakeman, Todd Hood, Saritha Komatireddy, and Joseph Hernandez. These are the leaders who are stepping up to fight for our values, restore common sense, and deliver results for New Yorkers.
The evening will include a VIP reception at 5:30 pm, general reception at 6:00 pm, and dinner from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Business attire is required, and the event will be held at The Union League Club, located at 38 East 37th Street in Manhattan.
I hope you can attend, bring friends, and share this invitation widely. Events like this are critical to building momentum and ensuring we have the resources to win. Be on the lookout for updates and more speaker announcements.
Over the past week, I attended a number of events both locally and in our nation’s capital.
The week began with a highly successful Brooklyn Conservative Party event. Chaired by Fran Vella-Marrone, the Brooklyn Party hosts many fundraisers and community events throughout the year. Comptroller candidate Joe Hernandez delivered the keynote remarks, reminding everyone how fortunate we will be when he becomes State Comptroller.
I then made my way down to the Capitol Hill Club, located across from the U.S. Capitol, for a Robert Smullen for Congress fundraiser organized by John Faso. The full room included Congressmembers Claudia Tenney, Mike Lawler, Nicole Malliotakis, Nick LaLota, and Nick Langworthy, as well as former Congressman Marcus Molinaro. Congressman Andrew Garbarino was not there in person but also supports Bob Smullen, his former State Assembly colleague. Smullen has secured the Conservative Party endorsement, guaranteeing him a spot on the November ballot in a district where the Party consistently receives its highest vote totals in the state.
From there, I attended the Susan B. Anthony Gala alongside Congressmembers Claudia Tenney and Nicole Malliotakis. The event honored six pro-life U.S. Senators, with Speaker Mike Johnson delivering the keynote address. Held in the cavernous Andrew Mellon Auditorium, the event drew well over 1,000 guests.
The following day, I had lunch with KC Crosbie, Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee, and her Chief of Staff, John Seravalli. We had a productive discussion about the upcoming elections, the recent Supreme Court decision, and the strong working relationship between the Conservative Party and the GOP.
From there, I drove back to the city to attend the Richmond County GOP dinner, a major event hosted by one of the premier GOP organizations. It was great to reconnect with many old and new friends. Tomorrow, Saturday, I will address a gathering of the National College Republicans in New York City, and on Monday, I will return to Albany to speak to the New York State Federation of Republican Women. Busy times during a busy year. Hope to see you soon on the campaign trail!
Support Congressman Nick LaLota
Nick LaLota is a Navy veteran, husband, and father representing New York’s 1st District. Raised in a family deeply rooted in law enforcement and military service, he developed a strong commitment to public service early in life. He attended the United States Naval Academy, earned his degree, and served as a Lieutenant in the Navy, deploying multiple times across the globe in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
After returning home to Long Island, LaLota continued his public service in local and county government. As an Amityville Village Trustee, he focused on lowering taxes, strengthening public safety, and improving community services, helping deliver balanced budgets and stronger financial ratings. He later held senior leadership roles in Suffolk County, including Commissioner of the Board of Elections and Chief of Staff to the County Legislature, where he worked to ensure effective government operations and protect the integrity of elections. Now serving in Congress on the Armed Services, Homeland Security, and Small Business Committees, LaLota remains focused on serving his constituents and upholding the values that shaped his career. He was one of the key voices and fighters behind getting SALT relief passed in the Big Beautiful Bill. Thanks to his efforts, middle class New Yorkers will feel a bit of relief, to help the immense tax burden of our State.
