Chairman Kassar’s Weekly Wrap Up 6/20/25

Thank You Supporters!

Thank you to everyone who made Wednesday night’s Summer Dinner a tremendous success! It was an inspiring evening filled with energy! We were proud to welcome RNC Chairman Michael Whatley as our keynote speaker and honored to present Congresswoman Elise Stefanik with the Michael R. Long Award, joined by Mike’s wonderful family. Their presence made the evening all the more meaningful.

A big thank-you as well to Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, Congressman Mike Lawler, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt, Assembly Republican Leader Will Barclay, and all the incredible supporters and dignitaries who joined us. Without you all, the Conservative Party would not be the majority makers we are today.

If you weren’t able to attend, you can watch all the speeches from our outstanding speakers on YouTube here: Professional photos from the evening will be available on Monday, but in the meantime, you can view a selection of photos on Facebook here.

It was a great night spent with leaders and grassroots supporters, all united in our mission to Save New York.

End of State Legislative Session

Over the past six months, mega-spender Governor Kathy Hochul and the Democrat-controlled State Legislature have worked overtime—not for everyday New Yorkers, but to advance a radical left agenda in this state. This session was a masterclass in arrogance: record spending, coddling criminals, sanctuary city protections, and partisan election games. They pushed assisted suicide, attacked President Trump at every turn, and they continued to ram through congestion pricing and bloated programs no one asked for. This wasn’t governance—it was progressive performance art. The Conservative Party will continue to fight for the New York that Democrats are trying to erase. For now, we are thankful Legislative Session is over, but there is no time to rest. With Primary Day only a few days away, June 24th, we must keep the momentum all the way until November!

National Affairs Platform Update

Our National Affairs Platform, last revised in 2023 with the Presidential and Congressional elections in mind, is now due for a comprehensive update. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and our Republican Congressional delegation, many of the key planks in our platform have already been enacted, either through new laws, Executive Orders, or meaningful changes at the agency level. “Promises Made, Promises Kept” isn’t just a slogan, it reflects the real progress we’ve seen since they took office.

We’ve provided a link to our current National Affairs Platform for your review here. If you would like to submit suggestions or feedback, please email Andrew Davis at Andrew@cpnys.org.

Party Vice Chairman Allen Roth is serving as Chairman of the National Affairs Committee and will oversee this effort. Our goal is to present a revised platform to the State Executive Committee for review and approval in late July or early August.
