Chairman Kassar’s Weekly Wrap Up- ICE, Primary Day

Malliotakis Stands With ICE

Thank you to Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis for her continued leadership to public safety, law enforcement, and secure borders.

This week, Congresswoman Malliotakis joined ICE New York City Field Office Director Kenneth Genalo to highlight the consequences of New York’s sanctuary policies and the challenges they create for federal law enforcement officers tasked with removing dangerous criminal illegal aliens from our communities.

The discussion highlighted a disturbing reality: many individuals convicted of rape, sexual abuse of children, assault, manslaughter, murder, and other violent crimes have been arrested by ICE in recent weeks after local sanctuary policies limited cooperation with federal authorities. In the press conference that can be viewed here, you’ll hear just some of the names captured from the past few weeks and their horrid crimes. This is not just a NYC problem, many arrested were living in Newburgh, Nassau, Suffolk, Kingston and further upstate.

Congresswoman Malliotakis also highlighted the Secure America Act, which provides nearly $70 billion for border security, immigration enforcement, and homeland security operations. The legislation strengthens ICE and Customs and Border Protection by funding personnel, technology, investigations, enforcement operations, and partnerships with state and local governments to help keep Americans safe.

In addition, Congresswoman Malliotakis continues to champion legislation protecting the men and women who serve in law enforcement. Her Federal Halo Act would establish a reasonable safety buffer around federal law enforcement officers to prevent harassment, intimidation, and interference while they perform their duties.

At a time when some elected officials are making it harder for law enforcement to do their jobs, Congresswoman Malliotakis is standing up for victims, supporting our law enforcement officers, and fighting to ensure dangerous criminals are removed from our communities. This is why Malliotakis is always at the center of the redistricting from the left; she is effective and it scares the hell out of the left.
