Statement: Chairman Gerard Kassar Condemns Attempted Judicial Manipulation in NY-11 Redistricting Case
Brooklyn, NY…New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar today issued a forceful statement denouncing what he called a blatant attempt by Governor Kathy Hochul’s allies to subvert the will of the voters in the NY-11 redistricting process.
“Let’s not mince words here,” Kassar said. “The people of New York have already made it expressly clear—both at the ballot box and through past referenda—that they do not want partisan gerrymandering shoved down their throats mid-redistricting cycle. It’s wrong in every state, and it’s certainly wrong here in New York. The voters have spoken loud and clear: this kind of political sleight of hand is unacceptable. Acting Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Pearlman, a 20-year Hochul ally, must recuse himself from litigation to unconstitutionally change the boundaries of New York’s 11th Congressional District.”
