Summer Dinner Honoring Lee Zeldin

I’m excited to invite you to join me and the Party at the New York State Conservative Party’s 2026 Summer Dinner on Thursday evening, May 21, at The Union League Club in New York City.

This is always one of the most important and energizing events of the year, bringing together leaders and supporters from across the state. This year is especially meaningful as we honor our very own Lee Zeldin as the recipient of the 4th Annual Michael R. Long Award. Mike Long’s legacy of principled conservative leadership continues to inspire, and there is no one more fitting to receive this honor than Lee.

We’ll also be celebrating and supporting our statewide ticket, including Bruce Blakeman, Todd Hood, Saritha Komatireddy, and Joseph Hernandez. These are the leaders who are stepping up to fight for our values, restore common sense, and deliver results for New Yorkers.

The evening will include a VIP reception at 5:30 pm, general reception at 6:00 pm, and dinner from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Business attire is required, and the event will be held at The Union League Club, located at 38 East 37th Street in Manhattan.

I encourage you to attend, bring friends, and share this invitation widely. Events like this are critical to building momentum and ensuring we have the resources to win. Be on the lookout for updates and more speaker announcements.

The Budget Extender, Extender

It is unacceptable that we are once again dealing with budget extenders because Albany Democrats and the Governor failed to pass a budget on time. The state budget is due April 1st. That is not a suggestion, it is a basic responsibility of governing.

Instead, we get extender after extender, backroom negotiations, and no transparency for the people of New York. This has become the norm under one-party rule, and it is an embarrassment to our state.

Democrats continue to push for a full-time legislature with all the costs that come with it, yet they cannot accomplish their most fundamental duty in a timely manner. If the primary responsibility of government is to protect and serve the people, then passing a responsible budget on time should be the bare minimum.

These repeated delays are not just procedural failures. They reflect a lack of discipline, accountability, and respect for taxpayers. You see the reports, many Dems do not even show up to work; especially with virtual voting now. New Yorkers deserve better than this cycle of dysfunction. The Party and I will keep you updated on the process, as well as our Conservative Legislators who have been putting out a lot of great insight on what’s going on inside the Capitol right now.

Peter Oberacker for Congress

New York’s 19th Congressional District is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched races in the country, and for good reason. This is a real opportunity to flip a seat and bring stronger, more accountable leadership to Washington.

Peter Oberacker has built his record on serving his community, supporting local businesses, and standing up for the values that matter to everyday New Yorkers. His campaign is rooted in hard work, conservatism, and a commitment to putting constituents, not special interests, first.

On the other side, Josh Riley is backed by significant outside money and national political networks. But this race should not be decided by who can write the biggest checks or flood the airwaves with ads. It should be decided by the people of NY-19 and the issues that affect their daily lives, like cost of living, economic opportunity, and public safety.

That is why grassroots support matters now more than ever. If you want to see a change in leadership and help flip this seat, getting involved can make a real difference. Whether it is sharing campaign updates on social media, contributing financially, or volunteering your time, every effort helps build momentum.

This is one of the top races in the country, and it is within reach.
