Reapportionment in New York: The Same Power Grab, Again

Once again, New York Democrats are trying to twist and manipulate the state’s redistricting process to secure an unfair political advantage. Despite the clear language of the state constitution, which forbids partisan gerrymandering and has a 10 year waiting period. Now they are claiming that the NY-11 district, held by Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis “dilutes Black and Latino voting strength,” even though the district logically unites Staten Island with nearby Brooklyn areas and eight of the city’s 12 House seats are already held by minorities. This cynical lawsuit, orchestrated by national Democratic operatives and backed by top state Democrats including Gov. Kathy Hochul, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, and Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, is less about fairness or representation and more about raw political power. You can read more here. They have done it before, and the courts stopped them, but here they are again, using stacked state courts and overpaid election-law lawyers to push their agenda and sidestep the will of the people. Conservatives and fair-minded New Yorkers have fought back against this before and won, and we will fight it tooth and nail again. The people of this state deserve honest representation, not maps carved up by politicians looking to protect their power under the pretense of progressivism.

The President’s Travels: Strength and Leadership on the World Stage

President Trump’s recent travels have once again demonstrated his strong international posture and tireless dedication to keeping America respected abroad and secure at home. His energy is truly off the charts; he is everywhere at once, working day and night for the American people. Longtime allies such as Italy and Israel, along with others across the globe, are working closely with his administration to build a safer, more prosperous world. One of his most important recent meetings was with the President of China, a nation known for its tough negotiating tactics. But no one negotiates better than Trump. His leadership, experience, and determination have already brought tangible results for American workers and families. It is astonishing to see how much he has accomplished, and it has not even been a year yet.

Senate Democrats’ Dysfunction: Schumer’s Political Games

Democrats in the Senate are once again choosing chaos over responsibility, blocking funding that would keep the government open and ensure federal employees are paid. The truth is simple: Democrat votes are required to open the government, and they have voted repeatedly to keep it closed. They refuse to fund essential operations unless billions in wasteful spending and partisan programs are restored. Their demands include hundreds of billions in benefits for illegal immigrants, billions more for foreign programs, and even half a billion dollars for left-leaning media organizations, all while cutting $50 billion from rural hospitals that serve hardworking Americans. At the center of it all is New York’s own Chuck Schumer, desperate to hold onto his job after nearly 50 years in Washington and terrified of being primaried by the far-left DSA and Working Families Party. Schumer and his allies have even admitted to using “pain” as political leverage, boasting that “every day gets better for us.” It is a disgrace, and the American people are tired of it.
