Kathy Hochul’s Shameless Hypocrisy on Redistricting
Once again Governor Kathy Hochul is making a shameless attempt to once again gerrymander New York’s congressional districts for partisan gain, ignoring clear constitutional mandates and prior court rulings that have rejected her party’s previous efforts to rig New York congressional districts. The renewed push for a partisan redrawing of the state’s congressional map is nothing but a desperate power grab, particularly in the light of the Governor’s own recent statements on other states. Huchul declared that “Texas Republicans are trying to steal five seats,” stating that “Fairness, representation, and freedom are on the line.”
This rhetoric stands in stark contrast to her own administration’s record. Previously, Governor Hochul and her legislative allies engineered a brazen attempt to disenfranchise Republican and Conservative voters by gerrymandering Republicans into near-oblivion in New York. Their maps, aimed at shrinking the Republican delegation to just four seats to protect the Democratic House Majority, were so extreme they were ultimately rejected by the state’s courts, a decision that was handed down by Democrat-appointed judges. They were not just rejected once, the Party was battling in court multiple times until a special master was appointed, and created fair maps.
Governor Hochul is a liar who does not care about fairness, representation, or protecting democracy when it gets in the way of her political agenda. She decries in others the very same corrupt tactics she herself has championed. The State Constitution couldn’t be clearer, you can’t just rewrite congressional maps, whenever it suits your political whims. Hochl knows this, but she is betting she can shop her guaranteed losses through the lower courts until her hand-picked Court of Appeals gives her the ruling she wants. It’s the very definition of corruption dressed up as governance.
This effort is a dead end, and it’s a waste of taxpayer money. This is a raw power grab, plain and simple. If the Governor and her allies attempt to proceed down this unconstitutional path, they will be met with swift legal action. We will see them in court.

Candidate Spotlight
Recently, at our latest State Executive Meeting, the Conservative Party filled two vacancies in Madison County and Schoharie County. These vacancies arose due to the retirement of the previous officeholders.
All three of the following candidates are running on both the Conservative and Republican lines, with elections taking place on November 4, 2025:
First, I’d like to introduce Michelle M. Price, candidate for Schoharie County Treasurer. Born and raised in Schoharie County, Michelle has worked at the county Board of Elections for years, eventually being promoted to Deputy Republican Commissioner. Next, we have Robert A. Mascari, running for District Attorney in Madison County. He currently serves as Chief Assistant District Attorney in Madison County.
Lastly, I’d like to bring your attention to a key race in New York City’s 30th Council District, the soon-to-be-vacant seat currently held by Council Member Bob Holden, who is term-limited this year. Our endorsed candidate for the seat is Alicia Vaichunas, Holden’s Deputy Chief of Staff.
Alicia is a registered Republican running on her strong record of public service, dedication to her community, support for our police, and commitment to saving our city. A lifelong resident of the 30th District, she is deeply committed to serving her neighbors and fighting for the issues that matter most. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that our community remains a great place to live, raise children, and grow old. The Conservative Party is proud to support her. New York is being pushed towards full-blown communism by a Democratic party that embraces radical policies like government-run grocery stores and defunding the police. From Zohran Mamdani to the party’s statewide leadership, this dangerous agenda is advancing unchecked. The Conservative Party is building a major campaign to stop the radical Left by launching a critical pre-labor day effort. This initiative will directly challenge the communist agenda of New York by funding essential voter outreach and support for conservative candidates across the state. We are holding the line where others have given up and are calling on patriots to help fund this necessary fight for New York’s future. Join our $10 Club TODAY!
