The Conservative Party is proud to announce the launch of our brand-new website, a bold step toward amplifying our mission to champion conservative values across New York. This modern platform is more than a digital facelift—it’s a powerful tool to engage, educate, and mobilize our community.
We continue investing heavily in infrastructure and digital marketing to fuel this momentum. These efforts will expand our reach, connect with new supporters, and strengthen our voice in shaping New York’s future. You will continue to find Party updates, press releases, events, news, social media activity, podcasts, our legislative platform and much more. You can check out our new website here or at CPNYS.org. WELCOME TO SUMMER DINNER
I am pleased to announce the NYS Conservative Party will be presenting Congresswoman Elise Stefanik with our Michael R. Long Award. Elise was a great friend of Mike and the Long Family; I am very excited that she has accepted this honor.
Members of our State Congressional delegation, the Trump Administration, state, and local elected officials will be joining Party activists at what will be a fantastic evening.
The dinner and reception will be held on June 18th, at the Union League Club located at 38 East 37th Street, New York, NY 10016. We will have a special VIP Reception for those interested starting at 5:30. The General Reception will begin at 6pm, followed by an amazing dinner from 7-9pm, where Congresswoman Stefanik will accept the award recognition. You can register by going to CPNYS.org/summer or click here. We look forward to you joining us for this special occasion.
STATE BUDGET
The Party has been critical of the overall size of the state budget since Governor Hochul announced her record-breaking spending plan months ago. With the addition of a Democrat-controlled legislature, the budget has since ballooned by several billion more.
Yet the devil is in the details.
Democrats actually had the audacity to include millions in funding to create a legal defense fund for Attorney General Letitia James, specifically to cover her private mortgage-related lawsuits. Yes, you read that correctly. Numerous Conservative legislators in the State Senate called this out during session debate. You can read the Party’s full press release on “Letitiagate” here.
The budget also includes a massive expansion of the public financing program, resulting in many millions more in taxpayer dollars being funneled into political campaigns.
There were extraordinarily inadequate changes to discovery and other criminal justice laws, broken years ago by Democrats and still not fixed despite public outcry.
It also included a focused effort to shift the cost of programs related to illegal immigrants from the federal government to New York State taxpayers.
More prison closures, more business regulations, and even an increase in the MTA payroll tax—a known job killer—will now affect 12 counties, from Dutchess to Suffolk and everywhere in between.
And it goes on and on.
The Party encouraged our endorsed Senators and Assembly members to vote “No.” We were proud to see that nearly every one of them stood with us and voted in line with the Party’s position.
Happy Mother’s Day
I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a happy Mother’s Day from myself, and the entire Conservative Party. As a son and a husband, I know first-hand that mothers are the heart of our families, and deserving of our deepest gratitude every day, not just once a year. However, Sunday is a special day to treat mothers like the heroes they are. Have a blessed Mother’s Day!
