At the very least, Governor Hochul is listening to the concerns of New Yorkers. We haven’t seen the proposals, nor are we confident that the democrats in the legislature, will adopt any portion of what must be done, since they were passed in both houses that are controlled by democrats and they since doing so have dug themselves in on “no changes,” but it is a beginning of a conversation that is truly needed. Let’s hope Gov. Hochul is doing this for all the right reasons and not just pandering to the people.

The camp organizers have admitted that they target vulnerable youth, including foster children, who are at high risk of sexual abuse. (Emphasis added.)”
