Chairman Kassar’s Weekly Wrap Up 9/5/25

Orange County Event & Platform Finalization

Last week, we were proud to bring our Conservative Party State Executive meeting to Orange County, where conservatives from across New York came together to celebrate the finalization of our National Affairs Platform.

This meeting highlighted how much progress we’ve already seen in just six months of President Trump’s return to office. Thanks to his leadership, decisive executive orders, and the support of our House Delegation, many of the goals outlined in our platform are already being achieved. It was a powerful reminder that Conservative ideas work, and that our Party remains focused on delivering results for working families across New York.

Following our open SEC meeting, we enjoyed an evening of fellowship with Party members, local leaders, and grassroots activists. These moments are what keep our movement strong, and it was great to see so many familiar faces as well as new ones.

We were fortunate to hear from an outstanding slate of speakers. Tom King, President of the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, delivered a powerful keynote address on the importance of defending our Second Amendment rights. We also heard from Sheriff Paul Arteta, Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Assemblyman Brian Maher, Senator Rob Rolison, and Assemblyman Karl Brabenec. Each of them spoke directly to the challenges facing New Yorkers and the importance of Conservative leadership at this critical time.

As always, I want to thank our sponsors and supporters who made this possible. Your commitment is what fuels our success and allows us to keep growing the Party across the state. You can view the pictures from the event here. Be on the lookout for our next event in October!

Candidate Spotlight-Chad Lennon

Each week, I am highlighting candidates who reflect the strength and principles of our movement. This week, I am proud to spotlight registered Conservative, Chad Lennon, who is running for re-election for Suffolk County Legislator District 6.

Chad is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and serves as a Suffolk County Legislator. A registered Conservative, Chad has already shown the kind of leadership we need more of in government. Recently, he passed legislation to officially recognize the Veteran Suicide Awareness & Remembrance (SAR) Flag in Suffolk County, ensuring it is flown daily at Armed Forces Plaza, a bipartisan effort that passed unanimously.

Beyond legislative work, Chad is leading by example. To raise awareness about veteran suicide, he is walking 66 miles, symbolizing the 66 veterans who tragically take their own lives each day. His efforts remind us that leadership means more than holding office, it means service, sacrifice, and action. Learn more about his work here: Suffolk County Legislature – About Chad. You can also stay up to date on his social media pages here:

We will continue to spotlight strong Conservative candidates like Chad in the weeks ahead. These are the leaders who will shape New York’s future. Don’t forget to vote this November!

Save the Date: CPPAC 2026

Our CPPAC Committee is already preparing for CPPAC 2026, which will take place Sunday, February 1st, and Monday, February 2nd at the Hilton Hotel in Albany. This is one of the most important gatherings we hold each year, and it couldn’t come at a more pivotal time. With state legislators, Congress, and the Governor all on the ballot, 2026 will be a defining year, and CPPAC is where we will rally, plan, and energize for victory.

Last year’s CPPAC was an incredible success, and this year’s promises to be even stronger. From national voices to state leaders, the program will cover the issues New Yorkers care about most: affordability, safety, freedom, and accountability in government. More details will be coming soon, but for now, please mark your calendars, you won’t want to miss it.
