Legislative Alert

Submitted by Shaun Marie on November 7, 2009

The US House of Representatives is about to vote on the most expansive, expensive legislation to change our health care, today, Saturday, November 7, 2009.  From all analysis, the "Brad Ellsworth Amendment" is a sham and even NY Democratic Congressman McMahon stated in today's NY Post that "he is troubled by its tax hikes, cuts to Medicare, impact on small businesses and failure to control soaring health-care spending."

CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN NOW  AT 202-224-3121 (THE CAPITAL SWITCHBOARD; THEN ASK FOR YOUR CONGRESSMAN) TO VOICE YOUR OPPOSITION TO THE PELOSI BILL.  IS THE MAIN NUMBER IS BUSY, CLICK HERE TO FIND YOUR CONGRESSMAN:  http://www.house.gov/

PLEASE DO IT NOW.  THANK YOU!

I called Congressman Massa's office just a few minutes ago to ask that the congressman consider the enormous burden of debt that Pelosi's healthcare bill would place on our children, grand children and generations to come. I asked that he consider the words of  Thomas Jefferson  who, if I may paraphrase, said that it was immoral to pass the debt of one generation onto another. I requested as his constituent that he vote against Pelosi's bill and was advised that it was his intention to vote against the current bill before the house.  We have at least one Democratic house member voting against the Pelosi legislation. At least this time.

To Whom It May Concern:

The time is ripe for a change in representation in Congressman Tim Bishop's Congressional District the 1st CD on Long Island. I have a perfect candidate but I am trying to contact the Suffolk Conservative Party head or Mike Long. Any help? Dpb2287@aol.com. We can do what was done in the 23 District!
