The Senate Bill, all 2074 pages of it,  is not good for the health and wealth of Americans. Saturday, November 21, 2009, the Senate is expected to vote to end debate on the bill, and will need 60 votes to do so. Some Democrats, Ben Nelson and Joe Leiberman, for example, are unhappy with certain sections of the bill: Nelson wants stronger pro-life languange and Liberman does not want a "public option". However, Both of these Senators
appear to be willing to let the vote go to the floor. The problem is this: If the Bill goes to the floor, only 51 votes will be needed to pass the bill and a conference committee will combine the Senate and House bill into one, which will certainly cater to the special interest and harm Americans. We must do all in our power to prevent the 60 votes needed on Saturday.

Then call Senator Gillibrand at 202-224-4451 and tell her the same. Or you can email Senator Gillibrand.

Even if you believe you will not change Sen. Schumer's or Sen. Gillibrand's position on the bill, it is very imortant that you let them know you are opposed to it. They need to know votes have consequences.
