I came across a blog post recently regarding the Massachusetts Senate seat election (to replace Edward Kennedy).
Interesting, and amusing read if you get a moment...

Have a good weekend folks
as you know americans respond to pain or gain. i was thinking of getting a gain when i came up with this idea. with health care the only way to get prices down is to have more competition. what if lets say medicare offers 1200 dollars for a mri. we could get people to start calling doctors and trying to find the best price if their could be something in it for them. so lets say i called around and found a mri for 1000 dollars. the goverment would save 200 hundred dollars, but would reward that client with a hundred dollar refund. so in total the gov would save a hundred dollars. we would have seniors calling around all day for priceing and forceing doctors and hospitals to post prices, and compete with each other. this would continue to force prices down forever. the power of a senior with a lot of time on their hands and the need to make a few extra dollars is powerful.
Does anyone know how I go about finding a point of contact for the party in Westchester County, NY?
