Conservatives to Con Ed:  No Mosque at Ground Zero

Ft. Hamilton Station, NY -- The New York State Conservative Party launched its statewide “Stop the Mosque” ad today, urging viewers to contact Consolidate Edison to “Stop the Mosque” as too many questions remain unanswered.

“This has never been about religious freedom,” Conservative Party State Chairman Michael R. Long said, “It is about the innocent men and women, savagely slaughtered on September 11, 2001.  The Conservative Party staunchly defends religious freedom and we will steadfastly resist a Mosque being built in the blood-stained shadows of ground zero.”

“Too many questions surround this Mosque, from the coincidence of choosing to call it the Cordoba Mosque to where the money is coming from to build it remain unanswered.  When a leader of HAMAS, a reprehensible terrorist organization, says they “have to build” it there, it is time for all Americans to refute the argument that this is about religious freedom,” Long continued.

“If Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Imam behind the proposed mosque, truly wants to foster peace and understanding between Islam and other religions and demonstrate what democracy is about to a Muslim society, he will not collect the $100 million dollars to erect a 13 story building overlooking where depraved jihadist praised Allah as they purposely slammed fully fueled jets into the Towers where men and women were just beginning their workday,” Long said.

“There are numerous other places in New York City where a Mosque would be welcomed to foster understanding; if the Imam is sincere, he will find one.  Meanwhile, Con Ed must hear from you.  Help us stop the Mosque at Ground Zero.  Con Ed owns the building, does Con Ed really want blood money for it?” Long concluded.

I must say that I am disappointed that Mr. Lazio lost but I truly believe that Mr. Cuomo is a very hard candidate to beat. Therefore, logically thinking, if Mr. Lazio stays on the Conservative ticket, he will be taking MANY votes away from the Republican ticket and guaranteeing a win for the Democrats, and that must not happen. This state, this country, has been hurt too deeply by the Democratic way of life, the "give-a-way thinking"!! It's a crap shoot but I don't think Mr. Lazio can both overcome his Republican challenger AND Mr. Cuomo and therefore, I feel that he should withdraw and support the Republican candidate.
