In solemn remembrance of the savage attack on America four years ago this Sunday, the State Executive Committee of the New York State Conservative Party passed the following resolution

Resolution Adopted by the State Executive Committee

of the New York State Conservative Party

~ September 7, 2005 ~

Whereas:  On September 11, 2001, New York City, Arlington, Virginia and Somerset County, Pennsylvania were savagely attacked;

Whereas: Two thousand, Nine hundred and sixty-eight innocent people were brutally murder by militant Islamic members of al--Qaeda;

Whereas: This was not the first attack by members of al-Qaeda on American lives;

Whereas: The economic effects of this barbaric attack still ripple and the loss of lives has left deep cavernous emptiness like the gaping hole in New York City’s landscape;

Whereas: Ground Zero will rise like a Phoenix to forever remember September 11, 2001 in its true historical terms;

Therefore be it resolved:  That the Members of the New York State Conservative Party unite with the Members of the Uniformed Firefighter Association and withdraws support for the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation.

Let it be known: that the Conservative Party fully supports the efforts of Debra Burlingame to “Take Back the Memorial” and have the Memorial be about what happened that day ~ about the brave heroes who risked their lives so selflessly and about the innocent lives lost ~ nothing more.
