Hamilton Station, NY – "Governor Eliot Spitzer's true motives are showing and it isn't a pretty sight," Chairman Mike Long said today. "For the Governor to slash the small amount of funds allocated in New York State's budget for an upstate clinic, where volunteer doctors provide free health care for the uninsured, while bashing President George W. Bush for vetoing the SCHIP excesses, shows that it really isn't about helping those who truly need help; it is about steamrolling his agenda," Long said.
"New Yorkers will respond to this latest outrage with the same response as they have to his ill-conceived idea of granting illegal aliens driver's licenses and say: Enough, Mr. Spitzer, it is time to grow up," Long concluded.
