Conservatives Believe Governor Spitzer's Proposals on Driver's License will Make New York A Sanctuary State

Ft. Hamilton Station, NY – State Chairman, Michael R. Long announced that the Conservative Party testified at today's Assembly's Public Hearing on the Governor's proposal to issue driver's licenses to illegal aliens.

As the public becomes more aware of the Governor's proposal to give illegal aliens' driver's licenses, they are more aware of the pitfalls of his proposal.

"Governor Eliot Spitzer has built a house of cards on a shaky foundation," Long said. "Other states that have similar loose requirements are faced with serious problems and are reinstating stricter requirements," Long continued. "When you consider the strong possibility of voter fraud in addition to opening a floodgate of opportunities when you give an illegal alien a government-sanctioned identification, you must acknowledge that providing illegal aliens with a valid driver's license is simply wrong," Long concluded.

A copy of the testimony presented by Executive Director, Shaun Marie Levine, is available on-line at the Party's website or you can request via e-mail to cpnys@nybiz.rr.com.
