Conservatives to Converge on Capital

39th Annual Conference Begins 02/12/06

Ft. Hamilton Station, NY – Mike Long, State Chairman of the New York State Conservative Party, announced details of the 39th Annual Conservative Party Political Action Conference that will be held at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road, Albany, New York.

"CPPAC 2006 is the 39th consecutive year that grassroots activists have gathered in Albany, to hear from speakers and leaders in the national conservative movement as well as those who are actively involved with 'hot-button' state issues," said Long.

Confirmed speakers include all of the candidates running for statewide office who are seeking Conservative endorsement. Back by popular demand is radio talk show host Rabbi Aryeh Spero speaking on the Culture War, noted author, George J. Marlin speaking on the Conservative Party and James D. Cultrara who is working closely with us on the Educational Income Tax Credit as well as many other prominent speakers addressing the participants on their areas of expertise. (Contact 718-921-2158 or 518-356-7882 for the complete agenda.)

Congressman Thomas M. Reynolds, the Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, and former Republican Leader of the New York State Assembly will be the featured speaker at the Monday Luncheon. Congressman Reynolds also serves on the Ways and Means Committee, the oldest standing committee in Congress, and one of the most powerful in the House, with legislative authority over economic policy, trade, Social Security, welfare and health care policy. Mr. Reynolds is the only New York member in the committee’s majority. “His unique perspective of Washington will certainly be one of the highlights of the Conference,” Long noted.

"The two-day conference concludes on Monday evening with a reception and dinner. Invited to speak in the evening is Governor George Pataki, always another highlight of the Conference,” concluded Long.
