CONSERVATIVE PARTY PETITION

To the Members of the New York State Legislature:

 GIVE IT BACK!

Whereas:  The people’s pursuit of the American Dream, home ownership and better living conditions for our families should not be used by our state government, local government or school boards as leverage to extract ever increasing amounts of money from us to fund their agendas;

Whereas:  The insane cycle of ever increasing property tax assessments to “Keep pace with market values” is designed to feed a government that has an insatiable appetite for our money;

Whereas:  If we want to improve the quality of life for our family by upgrading our homes then the tax man will come.

Whereas:  When our older citizens, who have paid this government their entire lives, and only wish to live out their remaining years in the familiarity of their  homes where a lifetime of memories were made the tax man still comes.

We therefore say:  ENOUGH!  It is time for the tax man to stop and Give It Back!  New York State must stop holding us hostage.  The Real Property Tax Law must be changed.   New York State must stop placing mandates on local governments thereby forcing local governments to inflate the assessed values of our homes.  Our Real Property should not be a continuing source of revenue to provide surpluses to local government thereby allowing government to spend even more.  It is time to Give It Back!

I agree with the Conservative Party our family’s very future in New York State is threatened by this system Give It Back!
