There used to be an advertisement by Virginia Slims (it would be verboten today) that said “you’ve come a long way, baby” glorifying the women’s movement of the 1970’s.  Can we still say “you’ve come a long way, baby” when the Governor of Texas has to sign legislation declaring children’s lemonade stands legal?

Will the US Supreme Court have to hear another Jack Phillips case?  Mr. Phillips is the Lakewood, Colo. bakery owner who refused to bake cakes that violate his Christian faith and won in the landmark decision. 

If anyone thinks the legislature is in charge of what gets passed or not, they are mistaken.  Unions decide what gets passed, amended or tossed aside.  Their pension woes will come back to haunt taxpayers as they try to get bailouts after mismanaging their funds.
