Of course he is a grieving father — the loss of a child leaves a wound so deep that time cannot heal it — but is he also a man with an agenda helping immigrants to buy their way into the United States? Is he using the freedoms granted us in our US Constitution to promote his belief that “to Muslims, the Quran being the very word of God, it is the absolute authority from which springs the very conception of legality and every legal obligation.” Donald J. Trump made a grave error in what he said, but knowing more helps us understand that Mr. Khan’s attack on Mr. Trump was more politically motivated than this grieving father wants you to know.
